Auditions

Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Soprano will be on stage at The Merc Playhouse July 17 – 26, 2026. Auditions are scheduled for March 1, at 1 p.m., and March 4, at 6 p.m. Actors, both male & female, who can play ages 20-70 are needed. Sopranos are particularly encouraged to audition, though most roles are NOT singing roles.

No prepared readings necessary, though we really appreciate if you'll sign up for the audition session you're attending so we can make sure to have plenty of materials.

Curtain up on chaos! When the diva can’t go on, an eager assistant slips into costume. Cue mistaken identities, wild cover-ups, and high-note hilarity as opera night transforms into a laugh-out-loud farce of epic proportions.

By Ken Ludwig, directed by Carolanne Steinebach

“Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Soprano” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com
