Saturday, April 20th 1:00

Join our theater family, make new friends, and be a part of creating live theater in our community!

The Merc Playhouse invites actors, or those interested in acting, to audition for this summer’s production of A Diner on the Way, directed by Mark Easton.  No previous experience is necessary.

Roles Include:
one female who can play 18 -22 years old, one male who can play 25-35 years old, one female who can play 40-50 years old, one male who can play 40-50 years old. Four males and/or four females who can play 50-80 years old.

A Diner on the Way is a suspenseful, humorous and witty play told through the lens of the Hubbards: a big city family traveling through a very small town, stopping for a quick bite at a local diner. What they discover about themselves and their new acquaintances is much more than they ever expected!  Each role is rich in character and makes up an ensemble cast that is onstage for the duration of the performance.

Bring your calendar to audition and be prepared to list schedule conflicts.  Rehearsals begin April 22nd.  The show opens on July 12th and runs through July 21st.  Scenes to read will be handed out at auditions.  For more information, call 509.997.7529 or email us.

  • Long-winded meetings
